The 18-year-old midfielder, a former student at St Muredach's College, previously played for his local club Ballina Town FC and represented Mayo Schoolboys at underage level. He later progressed through Sligo Rovers' own underage academy system before earning his first-team call-up. His debut highlighted his local roots in County Mayo.
